I know you must be wondering about the relationship between these words, bear with me here and you will be able to see how these words can be magical in your musical journey.
We live in a period of time where we are surrounded by information of all sort, from the time we wake up to the moment we go to sleep. Thanks to the internet the information we need is literally one click away. “Wow Lucas! Isn’t that great?” Yes, totally great! I couldn’t agree more. Though if you think about that when it comes to achieving your musical objectives, your perspective might change a bit, given the fact that in order to make progress, it is primordial seeing clearly all the steps that need to be taken.
In a ocean of contents it is difficult to visualize with clarity the exact instructions that will take us to the place we want, however the first thing to be comprehended is that, nothing will ever substitute the experience of someone who is already at the desired place. Therefore my recommendation number 1 is:
Look for a mentor, somebody who can guide you through the entire process. Read it again in a different way: DO NOT DO IT BY YOURSELF!
Your mentor will provide the contents in such a way that there will be no running in circles, meaning that if you faithfully complete the required process, there is no other option, but achieving your goal.
Avoid distraction of all sources at the moment you are to be focused on your actions to succeed. My second and last recommendation is:
Speed is not quality! Small daily progress is way better than “apparently” big progress once in a while. Read it again in a different way: BE CONSISTENT AND DO NOT WORRY ABOUT HOW LONG, BUT ABOUT HOW GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE IS YOUR PROCESS.
I truly hope you find this article helpful and my wish is that you can be the best version of yourself! See you soon.
